Our hotel is in the heart of the Chaine des Puys, a unique site in the world with 80 perfectly aligned volcanoes stretching over 32 km. Its highest peak, the Puy-de-Dôme, is accessible by small electric train, which offers a sublime panorama of the Auvergne volcanoes and the Sancy Massif throughout its journey.

This exceptional and preserved environment offers numerous hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking trails. The famous Loop of the Domes stops at our hotel. Just 5 minutes away, Lake Aydat offers water activities including fishing and donkey rides.

In winter, there are no fewer than 100 km of slopes with the resorts of Mont-Dore, Super Besse and Chastreix Sancy available to enthusiasts delighted to ski down the volcanoes!

Dog sledding or snowshoeing and ice fishing on Lake Guéry, just a few minutes from our hotel (a unique activity and site in Europe), are also very popular.

Auvergne also has a rich cultural heritage... with its castles, the 12th century castle of Murol perched on its volcanic peak, its churches including the Romanesque basilica of Orcival, 10 km away or Notre-Dame du Mont-Cornadore in Saint-Nectaire (a jewel of Romanesque art) and its picturesque villages such as the medieval town of Besse or the typical village built of lava stone and slate roofs of Murat-le-Quaire.
