Our hotel is in the heart of the chain of the Puys, a unique site in the world with 80 perfectly aligned volcanoes that stretch for 32 km. Its highest peak, the Puy-de-Dôme is accessible by small electric train which offers a sublime panorama of the volcanoes of Auvergne and the Massif du Sancy throughout its ascension.

This exceptional and unspoiled environment offers many hiking, horseback riding or mountain biking possibilities. The famous circuit of the domes stops at our hotel. Only 5 minutes away, Lake D'Aydat proposes water activities including fishing and donkey rides.

In winter, no less than 100 km of slopes with Mont-Dore, Super Besse and Chastreix Sancy resorts are available to enthusiasts thrilled to ski on the volcanoes!

Dog sledding, snowshoeing and ice fishing on Lake Guerry a few minutes from our hotel (an activity and a unique site in Europe) are also very popular.

The Auvergne also has a rich cultural heritage ... with its castles, that of 12th century Murol hanging from its volcanic peak, its churches including the Romanesque basilica of Orcival 10 km away or Notre-Dame du Mont-Cornadore in Saint-Nectaire (jewel of Roman art) and its picturesque villages such as the medieval town of Besse or the typical village built of lava stone and lauze roofs of Murat-le-Quaire.

Further afield, the spa towns of La Bourboule, Mont-Dore and Saint-Nectaire invite you on a journey through time ... TO the Belle Epoque, the splendour of casinos, palaces, villas and other architectural treasures.

Near the hotel : The Puy-de-Dôme at 7,5 km, the Panoramique des Dômes at 9 km, the Croix Morand pass at 15 km and the Zénith d'Auvergne (33km) where many shows are organized, including the Sommet de l'Elevage.
